Getting Admitted

How admission works

The journey is enquiry, assessment and admission. A face-to-face assessment helps WHOS confirm whether the service can safely meet your needs before admission.

  • You can call yourself or ask a support person or professional to help.
  • We discuss alcohol and other drug use, health, medication, safety and current supports.
  • Assessment does not commit you to entering a program.
  • We explain eligibility, availability and the next practical step.
Step threeAdmissionA face-to-face assessment before admission is confirmed.

Attend the agreed WHOS service for a face-to-face assessment. With your consent, the team will confirm whether the program can safely meet your needs and explain the admission decision and next steps.

Some WHOS programs are gender specific, so this helps us point you to the right one.
